Oli Brown , Coordinator for UN Environment's Disasters and Conflicts sub- programme

Oli Brown is the coordinator for UN Environment's Disasters and Conflicts sub- programme. In essence this means he helps to plan and monitor UN Environment's work to reduce the environmental causes and consequences of natural disasters, industrial accidents and armed conflicts. Previously Oli worked for Chatham House in the UK, and the International Institute for Sustainable Development in Switzerland. From 2010 to 2012 he managed a UN Environment country programme in Sierra Leone: working to build the government's capacity for more effective environmental management. He has first degrees in anthropology and modern history and a Masters in international relations. Oli is based in Nairobi.
